Daily Tips: The most common causes of lash extensions falling out before the end of your natural lash life cycle include excessively touching the lashes, use of oil based products, layering on excessive amounts of mascara which requires excessive cleansing, and frequent exposure to heat sources such as spas, steam rooms and tanning salons. Eye Gel Patches EYE GEL PATCHES offer you a soothing, line-smoothing spa treatment. These hypoallergenic eye patches are especially designed for protecting the lower lashes during the eyelash extension procedure.
Before After
Questions about Latisse I have been asked by clients about the new product called Latisse. This is a product put out by Allergins. It was originally a Glaucoma medication, and the side effects were noticible lash growth. Allergins took the product back into the lab and did some more research on it and it is now available since March 2009. I get asked all the time what my thoughts are on this product, I can not give a simple answer to that question at this time. I, myself would shy away from using it, but I have seen many people who would benefit from it. This is a medication that was orginally intended for Glaucoma, and this medication was to help with the pressure of the eye (simply put). There is a potential that it can change the pressure of a healthy eye, therfore causing blurred vision. There are also chances of color change to the Iris and the eyelid as well. Personally I like my brown eyes, and do not want to experience color change. About the lash growth, it does what it claims to do. It will regrow your lashes, But there is still some issues with the type of hair it grows. This means that the lashes that grow in may be a different color, texture, or curl pattern than they were previously. This means that if you have nice straight lashes they can grow in curly/kinky. If they were blond the could grow in black. You also have to worry about the directions the lashes actually grow in. This could change. What lashes do grow in will fall out after you discontinue use of the product. This product is for short term use. As soon as you stop using Latisse your lashes will grow the same length as before Latisse. They will not grow to the same length as with Latisse. It comes in a 1 month supply starting at $150.00, and is not covered by insurance. So there you have it, If you are still interested, Please see your Doctor to discuss the prescribing of this medication. Talk at length about the side effects before you decide. Like I said, I see plenty of clients that would benefit from this product. But for me, I will not be running to my Opthamologist any time soon. Warm Regards Loriann Lessa |
